Joe is an NCCPA nationally certified Physician Assistant with more than 25 years of experience in medicine. Prior to pursuing a career in healthcare, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Milligan University and worked as a chemist for 11 years. He later returned to school and graduated with honors from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, earning a Master’s Degree in Medical Science.
Since entering medical practice, Joe has served the region in emergency medicine, urgent care, and orthopedics. He has extensive experience treating both acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. His clinical expertise includes joint injections, fracture and sprain management, chronic pain treatment, and comprehensive orthopedic evaluations. He works closely with Dr. Christopher to provide thorough surgical evaluations and preoperative preparation to ensure patients receive coordinated, high-quality care.
A native of East Tennessee, Joe was born and raised in Elizabethton. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their golden retriever. He loves being outdoors—whether golfing, taking walks with his family, or grilling.
